Ignition Control for Small
Gasoline Engines
March 30, 2006 - AUSTIN, TX
Keterex Inc., a manufacturer of Digital and Mixed-Signal
Integrated Circuits, has announced the availability of the
KX1130 Ignition Timing Controller for small gasoline engines. It
is a complete single-chip solution for Two and Four-Stroke
engine ignition modules. By generating the desired ignition
advance based on engine speed, the KX1130 significantly improves
cold-start performance and improves efficiency versus fixed
timing systems.
The KX1130 operates over a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, is
available in a space-saving, 8-pin SOIC package, and is rated
from -40șC to 125șC, ideal for ignition modules in the harsh
small gasoline engine environment.
The KX1130 is priced at $0.39 per unit in quantities of 10,000.
